Dear Principal/School IT Official, 

Last year, your school received a 20 station portable computer lab with 8 Toshiba laptops, a project and wireless modem from the First Nations SchoolNet program being able to access INAC's year end funds.  We need to hear (and see) your story on how the lab is being utilized in your school.  To help capture this, we are shipping you a digital camera and SD card in the hope that you will take a few pictures showing where, when and how the computer lab has been a successful education tool. 

In addition to the computer lab, we would also like a few pictures of your school's Local Area Network and the cabling used to connect the school computers to this LAN - where is it located, when, upgrade requirements, cabling, etc? 

Lastly, we are requesting a picture or two of the equipment you purchased with last year's additional INAC year end funding.  How is it being used and in what capacity? 

In preparation of receiving additional funding from INAC for additional ICT equipment, a needs survey and school information update form is being distributed with this letter to each of the Ontario First Nations schools.  If you could spend $5,000 on ICT equipment, what IT equipment would you wish to see purchased for your school?  These forms are also available online at http://www.firstnationschools.ca.
